Efficient Time Management .-Make your Schedule as per the Syllabus of UPSC. Distribute your time effectively for all the subjects mentioned in the syllabus. Avoid involving too much time in a particular subject, you may be having an inclination towards a particular subject, but spending a lot of time in a particular subject raises the risk of negligence of another subjects. This is a common trap which reduces your chances of selection drastically.

Current Affairs form a major portion of UPSC CSE Prelims as well as Mains Exam. Do make a habit of making notes during Newspaper reading and try to link them with the core concepts. Refer only recommended Newspapers like- The Indian Express, The Hindu and Live Mint.
